Introduction to Solar

The sun powers the Earth. It powers photosynthesis in plants, the climate and now your home through harnessing its energy and converting it into electricity.

There are 3 ways in which you can use solar energy in your home:

  1. Passive solar – usually involves large South facing windows which intercept low angle winter sun in order to heat your rooms
  2. Solar hot water – solar heating panels sit on E/S/W facing roof and transfers the suns energy into useful heat for hot water
  3. Solar electricity (PV) – solar panels E/S/W facing roof and convert sunlight into electricity that can either be used in your home or sold back to the grid

We specialise in photovoltaics for generating electricity in your home. As Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) approved installers all our customers benefit from the UK Government’s Feed-in Tariffs (FITs) scheme. FITs have been designed to boost the take up of renewable electricity generation in homes and businesses, by offering above market rates for the energy your solar pv system generates, with income classed as tax free and guaranteed for 20 years.

There’s never been a better time to install a PV Fit solar electric system so contact us now for your free solar survey
